downstairs in the Members Room , starting at 7.45 p.m., unless otherwise stated.

Anyone interested is welcome to attend any meeting.

but our planned programme is occasionally changed

so it is advisable for visitors to contact a Committee member before attending.

CALENDAR

Thurs. April 22nd

Discussion on planned Club project of making a ‘Newsreel’ of significant events that will be taking place in Jersey this year. The first section will cover the 65th Anniversary Liberation Celebrations, and arrangements will need to be made.

Thurs. May 6th

Filming at Club – the next episode of the ‘Grumpy Old Men’ series will be filmed, and progress to date reviewed.

Thurs. May 20th

Wally has worked hard compiling a Video Quiz to puzzle us all and this evening we shall try and find the answers.

Thurs. June 3rd

  Project Evening – Our project for the season was to make a film on the theme of ‘birds’ and tonight we shall see the results, as well as reviewing any other films currently in production.

Thurs. June 17th

An evening to show the videos you have been making recently, holiday films or anything else, with the opportunity to receive constructive comments from the audience.  

Thurs. July 1st

Open Evening This evening will be advertised within Jersey as an opportunity for non members to attend along with films with which they may need help, or other film making problems.

Thurs. July 15th

Visiting Speaker –  Reg Lancaster, President of the Film and Video Institute is coming to visit us. He is a fascinating speaker, so please make sure to coming along, bringing friends and relatives.

Follow Up to Open Evening We shall try to help with some of these problems. Or hold a practical evening of reviewing our camcorders – how quickly can you ‘white balance’, change ratio aspect etc? We all need practice.

 Pub Meal at the Vic in the Valley - table booked for 7.30 p.m.

 An evening for a convivial chat at  the Old Portelet Inn. Meals are served until 8.30, if you wish to eat.

Review of Progress with Newsreel and any other work in hand

Script Workshop Annette will use some tips she has been given to try and tease out some ideas for possible scripts for films to be undertaken over the winter season.

Thurs. Oct. 7th

Questions and Answers – mainly on film related problems please. We all seem to be moving on to new software and equipment, so this will be a chance to share experiences.

Fri – Sun 15-17 Oct.

Guernsey Lily Film and Video Festival - We shall be entering some of our films in this Festival and maybe they will be shown, but there will certainly be many other films of excellent standard. Everyone is always made very welcome in Guernsey, and it is the easiest way of getting to know members of other clubs and Film and Video Institute officials and discuss mutual concerns.
