VIDEO FILM-MAKERS

All meetings will be held at THE ROYAL JERSEY SHOWGROUND, Trinity

downstairs in the Members Room , starting at 7.45 p.m., unless otherwise stated.

Anyone interested is welcome to attend any meeting.

but our planned programme is occasionally changed

so it is advisable for visitors to contact a Committee member before attending.

 

Thurs. October 22nd

A Practical Session in which we shall link a laptop to the projector in order to help newer members with the practicalities of adding a sound track etc. Plus viewing the films made to the recent  Edit Your Way project.

Thurs. November 5th

Visit to BBC Studios Finally we shall be visiting the BBC television studios at Parade Road, to see how they do their filming and editing. We cannot enter the studio until 8.10 p.m. and remember there is no parking on site, but it should prove to be a fascinating evening.

Thurs. November 19th

Public Show. This year club members have made some excellent films and this will be our opportunity to showcase them. So we do hope that you will be able to bring some friends, relatives and possible new members to enjoy t he evening.

Thurs. December 3rd

Christmas Meal. This year we shall again be having our annual Christmas meal at the Red Rose, Oaklands, which has been booked for 7.30 p.m. and they will have their Festive Menu available. Family and friends will be welcome. Names should be given to Derek De Gruchy.

A chat evening with the usual mince pies, if we are lucky. Maybe some seasonal films.

Visiting Speaker - Chris Clifford who runs his own local film making business, and who will be telling us about it.

Thurs. January 28th

 Our Annual Club Competition. The videos can be on any subject you like, but no more than 15 minutes long. They should have been made during the last 12 months, but may have been shown at club before. Judging, as usual, will be by the whole audience on Entertainment Value.

Thurs. February 11th

Annual General Meeting. This meeting will be a chance to decide if we would like to make any changes to the format in which the club runs. Everyone s input is needed, so please try and attend.

Thurs. February 25th

Viewing films  Recent visitors Bob and Joan Bell from the Edinburgh Cine and Video Society left us their latest Show Reel, and we shall be pleased to view the films this evening.

Thurs. March 11th

Club Film We would like to think about compiling a short film encompassing various of

the activities happening in Jersey during the summer, and shall discuss the options this evening. Thurs. March 25th

Wally and Alan will be compiling a Video Quiz  to puzzle us all.

Questions and Answers on any  film related topic  - camcorders, software, editing, whatever.

Thurs. April 22nd

A Project Evening The theme suggested for this season’s project is Birds which can be interpreted however you like, but made into a short film to be brought along this evening.
